Clinical Levels and what the mean.

Physiotherapists
Level 1
A "Level 1 physiotherapist" refers to a newly qualified physiotherapist, essentially someone who has just graduated with a physiotherapy degree and is at the beginning of their career, with foundational knowledge and skills, still actively developing their clinical practice and expertise in the field

Level 2
A "Level 2 physiotherapist" refers to a physiotherapist with an intermediate level of experience and clinical competency, typically signifying that they have progressed beyond entry-level practice but still may require some supervision on complex cases, often demonstrating skills in a variety of treatment modalities and managing a range of patient conditions with moderate complexity; essentially, they are further along in their career than a beginner but not yet at the expert level of a senior physiotherapist.

Level 3
A "Level 3 physiotherapist" refers to a physiotherapist with a high level of clinical expertise, typically signifying a practitioner with significant experience, advanced clinical reasoning skills, and the ability to manage complex cases within their area of practice, often acting as a leader or mentor to other physiotherapists within their team; this level usually indicates a high level of competency within the physiotherapy profession, often requiring additional specialised training or qualifications.

Clinical Specialist
A "Level 3 Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist" refers to a highly experienced and skilled physiotherapist who has achieved 12 Years+ advanced clinical experience. This experience is gained through post-graduate qualifications, specialist courses and/or master’s programs that afford specialist skills for a defined area of clinical practice with unique, complex, or multifactorial presentations

Exercise Physiologist
Level 1
A "Level 1 Exercise Physiologist" refers to an entry-level Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) who holds a bachelor's degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology and is considered the starting point in their career, typically with minimal clinical experience, signifying their initial qualification to practice as an exercise physiologist within the healthcare system.

Level 2
A "Level 2 Exercise Physiologist" refers to an exercise physiologist with a higher level of clinical experience and expertise, typically signifying they can manage more complex clients with chronic health conditions, requiring advanced assessment and exercise prescription skills, often working in specialized settings like aged care or rehabilitation centers; essentially, a step up from a basic level exercise physiologist with greater autonomy in client management.

Dietitian

Level 1
A level 1 dietitian is a newly qualified dietitian who is developing their skills and competencies. They provide nutrition care, education, and counseling to patients and their families

Level 2
A "Level 2 Dietitian" refers to a registered dietitian who has gained a moderate level of clinical experience, typically signifying several years of practice, allowing them to work independently on routine cases while still seeking guidance from senior dietitians for complex or novel situations; essentially, they are considered competent practitioners with a higher level of autonomy compared to a beginner dietitian (Level 1) but may still require supervision for intricate cases
